Statue of the Immaculate Conception (Pilgrimage Street)
Situated in Pilgrimage Street where it stands encircled by an iron gate opposite the parish church. This statue is another prolific piece by the renowned Cospicuan artist Abram Gatt (1863-1944) who carved it in Carrara marble in 1919. While expressing Our Lady’s majesty, the statue also displays her humility towards God as her hands are crossed in prayer. Originally situated on the old parvis of the parish, this is probably the most artistic and expressive statue to be found in Cospicua. It was moved to its present location in 1954.
