Situated inside St Helen’s Gate is a niche dedicated to St Helen that dates back to 1862. The main painting by volunteer artists is currently being restored and has therefore been temporarily replaced by a painting that represents the Order of the Knights of St John.

In 1882 Mons Carmelo Scicluna granted an indulgence to those who recited a prayer in front of this niche.
