Situated near St Theresa’s Church and Convent in St Theresa Street there is a stone niche that is decorated with two stone pillars and carved roses and which replaced an earlier wooden niche. On top of it is a carved crown along with the date 25
th June 1905; the day when Cardinal Domenico Ferrata crowned the image of the Blessed Virgin above the high altar of the parish church. Archbishop Pietro Pace Forno granted an indulgence to those who recited a prayer in front of this niche which is probably the work of Cospicuan artist Abram Gatt.
